Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil - Nov 20

2023 has been a rough year, as we have witnessed rising anti-2SLGBTQIA+ hate, in particular targeted at the trans community, and we have lost far too many people as a result of transphobia.

A Trans Day Of Remembrance vigil in Ottawa is being organized and is set to happen at 7:00pm on Monday, November 20th at the Human Rights Monument at 220 Elgin st. Gathering and setup will start at 6:30, and speeches and speaking will commence at 7:00 with name reading likely starting around 7:30.

Bring warm clothing including a hat, mitts, warm socks, and anything else you need to stay warm. The vigil is often long and cold. Organizers will have some candles and hope to have some warm coffee available as well. If you have candles, candle holders, or drip cups, bring them
